Beach and sea scavenger hunt
Students will learn about the wide variety of plants and animals that call the shore home. We will incorporate some chemistry and water testing to explain the shells of sea creatures, then try to match up shells to their animal. Students will participate in a guided crustacean dissection. The exact dissection will change based on availability. Finally, they will engage in a land and sea scavenger hunt. They will safely catch critters and attempt to identify them.
