Teen Leadership /CIT Program
The CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program is designed for teens 13 to 17 who want to develop leadership skills to prepare them for future careers. CITs play a vital role as they transition from being campers to potential future staff members. We want CITs to enjoy all the fun of being at camp, but we still rely on them to assist camp staff and be positive role models.

During the camp day, CITs participate in leading various activities such as arts & crafts, games, sports, and more. They also lend a hand with tasks like supporting homesick campers, maintaining cleanliness, and helping with setup. The CIT program emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and child development training. CITs are doing much more than taking kids to get water!

Communication about the program and application process should occur directly between the applicant and the camp director. While parents can offer guidance, independence and maturity are valued qualities in applicants. The goal is for CITs to gain valuable experience in the application and interview process, along with skills applicable beyond camp counseling.
