The forest in in bloom, and its time to learn what makes all those amazing colors. Can you identify the animal from the track it left behind?

When you arrive, follow the road all the way to the back and park in the loop. We will meet in the main pavillion.
What to Expect
We will start by learning all the animal tracks, and the basics for identifying them. We will play several animal tracking games, then make your own take home animal track. We will go for a hike along the shore to look for evidence of animals. We will take an hour lunch break, then rejoin for Wild Painting. Our lesson will teach kids about pigments in nature, and why those colors are important to the environment. Then we will extract colors from different plants and use them to make art. We will wrap up with a hike down a different path in search of examples of pigments in the forest.
Who Is This For?
This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. (Ages 5-17) This is not a drop off program.
What to Bring
Bugspray, water bottle, closed toed shoes for walking, bagged lunch
