What to Expect

We will begin by learning the basics of trees and their leaves and do 2 hands-on activities. What kinds of chemicals are inside of a leaf, and why are they important? Students will get to customize pre-made mint tea with natural "chemicals". We will finish the class by going on a 30 min nature hike to identify trees and learn more about them.

Who Is This For?

This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. We will be learning the basics of trees, but some chemistry and biology will also be thrown in. It will be fun and hands on for the younger kids, while still being challenging enough for older kids.
