When you arrive, park in the main parking area, then follow the trail towards the pier. We will meet at the large picnic area in front of the pier. There are only portapotties at this location.
What to Expect
We will begin by learning the basics of trees and their leaves and do 2 hands-on activities. Then students will create tea from natural ingredients. We will finish the class by going on a 30 min nature hike to identify trees and learn more about them.
Who Is This For?
This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. We will be learning the basics of trees, but some chemistry and biology will also be thrown in. It will be fun and hands on for the younger kids, while still being challenging enough for older kids. Parents are welcome to stay during the program.
What to Bring
Bugspray, water bottle, closed toed shoes for walking
