About the event
What is Dragonfly Nature Club?
Dragonfly Nature Club is a way to get kids Ages 5-11 in the greater Jacksonville area outside exploring nature. Each session is unique, drawing from the seasons, the surroundings, and the kids involved to create a memorable experience.
Daily Rhythm (Schedule)
Morning Circle Games & Welcome
Nature Knowledge - Full group session with a leader-guided activity
Forest Exploration or Free Choice - Explorers will be given an area of the woods to free explore, and will have choice of their activity. Each session will have a new invitation to the forest: an open ended activity that will challenge explorers in new and interesting ways. Examples: students may use nets to catch bugs, climb trees, build hideouts, or practice their skills
Closing Circle & Wrap Up - Explorers will get to decide how best to summarize their activities each session in their Nature Journals.
