About the event

What is Family Nature Club?

Family Nature Club is a way to get the entire family engaged in productive play outdoors. Our mission is to foster a deep connection between children and nature, promoting not only physical health but also intellectual, emotional, and social development. Through a blend of free play, guided activities, and hands-on learning, we encourage families to embrace the wonders of the natural world. Whether it's discovering the hidden treasures of a nearby park, creating art with found materials, or simply running and laughing in the open air, our club seeks to kindle a lifelong love for the great outdoors in both children and adults, all while strengthening the bonds of family and community. Let nature be your playground, your classroom, and your source of countless joyful memories.

Code of Conduct

Campers and Students are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct. Jax Dragonfly Academy staff will create a fun and safe environment for participants in the program. Praise and positive reinforcement are used as effective methods of behavior management. Children who do not respond to these methods or who are destructive to others or to property will be dealt with in a professional, positive, and timely manner to correct the behavior. NOTE: Immediate dismissal from the program can occur at any time given severe circumstances. Refunds for missed days due to a discipline dismissal will not be granted.

All Dragonfly Academy sessions are led by experienced outdoor guides. We take safety seriously, and strive to create an environment where children are able to take calculated risks. By signing up for these outdoor programs, you understand that there is an inherent risk involved with being outside. You also understand that Dragonfly Academy and it's staff are not liable for any injury sustained by students.

Our full safety sheet can be found here: JDA Safety and Protocol Sheet
