When you arrive, follow the road all the way to the back. We will be at the picnic tables behind the playground.

What to Expect

This class will run 90-120 minutes and kids will get to perform 3-4 hands-on chemistry experiments. We will learn what an acid and base are, how they intereact, make some amazing mixtures, then end the class with a fizzy, bubbly, bang! This class will get messy, so come dressed for a mess. We will also get the chance to explore the area and learn about acids and bases in nature, so wear walking shoes.

Who Is This For?

This program is appropriate for kids ages 8+. We will be learning some chemistry basics about acids and bases, and kids will get to perform hands-on science experiments. If you would like to register a younger child ( ages 5-7), you will need to assist them with activities during the program. Due to the nature of these experiments, we cannot accomodate participants under 5. Younger siblings are welcome to watch.

What to Bring

Bugspray, water bottle, closed toed shoes for walking
