FREE Family Seining | JDA 1 Year Anniversary

Join us in celebration of Jax Dragonfly Academy's One Year Anniversary! This free event is for all ages to come enjoy the Fort George River and learn how to use a seine net. If you plan on attending, you MUST wear closed toed shoes to enter the water, to prevent stepping on fishing hooks or other debris.

Driving North on Hecksher, take the first right immediatley after passing Huguenot Park

What to Expect

Lizzy will be at the park from 10am-2pm so stop by at any time. We will have opportunities to use the seine net, dip nets, and explore the salt marsh. There will also be information on next year's classes and events, as well as sign ups available. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the tables. We will also be giving away a few items, such as tickets to our classes.

Disclaimer

This location is a public boat ramp and fishing dock. Please be mindful to wear closed toed shoes, and keep an eye on little ones. There is a walkable salt marsh and wadeable shoreline, but this is not a suitable location for swimming.
