We will meet at the grassy area towards the back. Follow the road all the way through the park until you see the tennis court, then park anywhere to your left.
What to Expect
We will learn the basics about insects and “bugs” then meet some friendly bugs. We will then travel out to the field and the woods to look for bugs. Students will get to take home their bug jar and a sticker, and you are welcome to stay and explore the park after the program is over.
Who Is This For?
This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. We will be learning the basics of insects, but some more complex topics will also be addressed. This class has a focus on experiental learning, so kids are encouraged to ask questions about things they find along the way. It will be fun and hands on for the younger kids, while still being challenging enough for older kids. Parents are welcome to stay during the program.
