From Nocatee Parkway, go south three miles on Crosswater Parkway to a roundabout and then take the eastern exit onto Nocatee Landing Trail. You will see a small sign that says Nocatee Kayak Launch. The road is paved at first, and then turns to gravel, and the distance is approximately two miles. (If GPS takes you to the Del Webb neighborhood, keep driving south on Crosswater Parkway to the next roundabout).

What to Expect

We will learn the basics about insects and “bugs”. We will explore the adaptations that bugs use and some cool facts about them. Kids will get to see and hold some "friendly" bugs at the end of the program. This program runs 1.5 - 2 hours

Activities include:

• Learning insect parts and life cycle
• Making observations about insects
• Meeting living bugs
• Learning about bugs as food in different cultures
• Searching for bugs in the environment

Who Is This For?

This program is appropriate for school age children(4+) through high school. We will be learning the basics of insects and bugs, but some more complex topics will also be addressed. Kids are encouraged to ask questions about things they find along the way. Each program will be totally unique, as you never know what we will find along the way.

What to Bring

Please bring closed toed shoes for walking and bug spray. You do not need to print your ticket.
