From Nocatee Parkway, go south three miles on Crosswater Parkway to a roundabout and then take the eastern exit onto Nocatee Landing Trail. The road is paved at first, and then turns to gravel, and the distance is approximately two miles.

We will begin promptly, so please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to sign in and ensure punctuality.

What to Expect

We will learn the basics about insects and “bugs” then meet some friendly bugs. We will then travel out to the field and the woods to look for bugs. Students will get to take home their bug jar, and you are welcome to stay and explore the park after the program is over.

Who Is This For?

This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. We will be learning the basics of insects, but some more complex topics will also be addressed. This class has a focus on experiental learning, so kids are encouraged to ask questions about things they find along the way. It will be fun and hands on for the younger kids, while still being challenging enough for older kids. Parents are encouraged to stay during the program.
