We will meet at the brown pavilion towards the back.

We will begin promptly, so please arrive 10 minutes before the start time to sign in and ensure punctuality.

What to Expect

We will start off with an exploration of the upland coastal habitat, then compare it to the shoreline habitat. We will discover adaptations of animals that live on the shore with a crustacean dissection and a Shell ID game. We will take a 45 minute break for lunch, then regroup for some ocean exploration. Students will attempt to catch critters in the water and identify what they have found. This combo class will run approximately 3-3.5 hours. Please bring a bagged lunch, as there is no where nearby to purchase food. If you are bringing beach chairs, etc. please arrive early to set up, so we can start class at 10am.

Who Is This For?

This program is appropriate for school age children through high school. This class has a focus on experiental learning, so kids are encouraged to ask questions about things they find along the way. It will be fun and hands on for the younger kids, while still being challenging enough for older kids. This is not a drop off program.
